The climax of this book had me on the edge of my seat, heart thundering in my chest, completely riveted for chapters on end. This is an amazing epic fantasy series that still feels completely accessible. Narration is also top notch!

Peace bought by blood seldom lasts, for vengeance knows no end. The same is true for mortals and gods alike. Decades, centuries, and even eras may pass, but the cycle remains. As war and revolution rise again, Zephyrus finds himself at the center of it all. Chosen by the gods, hailed as a prophet of liberation, and forged as a weapon to break the kingdom and restore balance to the realm, hope rests squarely on his shoulders.

Amazing story to the end!
Reviewed: 02-23-23
This is an incredible book. Political intrigue, familiar characters with a new spin (and some new ones too!), and an ending to be reckoned with. The last quarter of the book blew my mind!
My only real dislike was switching between the two narrators. The male voice was amazing, but there was a disconnect with me and the female narrator. Her voice grated on me, but it didn’t detract from the story too much.
