No Loose Ends!!!
Reviewed: 08-12-21
Thank you, thank you , thank you for securely tying up loose ends and finishing your Mountain Mercenaries Series with a neat little bow. This is by far one of the best endings I have enjoyed in a book. Not just a what if or happily ever after, an actual this is how we ended up after all this went down. Thank you again!

I'm over the moon that the decision was made to continue this series! I have listened to Season 1 repeatedly and couldn't get enough of Nameless. I LOVE his character and the intrigue the story offers. Thank you Amazon Originals for this unique program! Thank you Dean Kootz for sharing your amazingly, talented imagination!

But the time she was given won’t last forever. Now, every tick-tock reminds her how fragile her existence is and hastens her quest to expose Killian Markham, the navy admiral who shattered her world and left her for dead. But Everley’s hunt for justice will be a long and hard-won voyage.

I Hope Everley Shows Growth
Reviewed: 06-21-20
As much as I enjoyed the overall story, Everley's lack of trust, her defiance in all things, her cold and callous demeanor towards almost everyone, and her obsession with Killian that blinds her from accepting help from Jamison is annoying. I believe she could have at least warmed a bit after all her challenges and trusted Jamison to help her. I will read book two in hope that Emily R. King will show some growth of this character. Maybe she learns to listen and not just do. I understand wanting to convey strength but overall it just makes Everley unlikable.

If you love the series, you'll enjoy this "in between" book. Despite it being such a short read.
