Helpful but repetitive
Reviewed: 10-16-21
I found quite a bit of helpful information. I especially liked the guided meditation. Some of the content seemed unnecessary, like the almost entire chapter dedicated to describing, in detail, the various forms of exercise one can do. Some of the content seemed overly repetitive. Also, the website that gets touted and recommended repeatedly throughout the book doesn't seem to exist anymore. I tried, on numerous occasions to visit the site, being very careful to type everything correctly, and kept getting an error message, that the site couldn't be reached.

Narrator sounds too old.
Reviewed: 07-07-20
I find the stories enjoyable, and like the characters. I feel like I really know them. But the narrator sounds way too old for the main character. the protagonist is suppose to be in her late 20's, but sounds like a much older woman. when I listen, I picture the Robbie as a woman in her late 60's to 70's. I have no problem with an older protagonist, but find it very distracting and annoying to have to constantly remind myself that Robbie is a younger woman. The audiobook would just be way more enjoyable of the narrator was a better fit.

I LOVED this installment. Queen was finally less annoying and unrealistically useless. I mean, still clumsy and dense enough for it to be funny, but without being so infuriating. And finally some forward movement with Darcy and Georgie. It's about time his family came into the picture!

Another good cozy by Davis
Reviewed: 09-21-19
Like other books by Krista Davis, I enjoyed the storyline and characters. I like her Diva series better. but this has been a fun change.
That said, I'm really disappointed with the narration. I find this narrator to always sound both saccharine sweet and exasperated simultaneously.

Great story. So-so narrator.

I loved the story. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and interested from beginning to end. The culinary and other domestic tips were delightful. Unfortunately, I kept finding myself bothered by the narrator, who made many characters (way too many, in my opinion) sound like ditzy, spoiled valley girls. I may just read the rest of the series myself, so I can enjoy the books thoroughly.
