About this listen

Few can compete with the Natasha Smith when it comes to entertaining, but her childhood rival, Sophie Winston, certainly tries. While Natasha is known for her intricate centerpieces and painstakingly prepared gourmet meals, Sophie likes to keep things simple...real simple.

Natasha may have stolen the spotlight - and Sophie's husband - but Sophie is determined to take home the prize at the Stupendous Stuffing Shakedown. She just needs the right ingredients... However, Sophie's search for the perfect turkey takes a basting when she stumbles across a corpse. And when the police find her name and photo inside the victim's car, they think she has some explaining to do. Sophie will have to set her trussing aside to solve the murder - or she'll be serving up prison grub - and that definitely wouldn't be a good thing.

This is a very good book. The only thing I did not like about the book is that the lead character is too nice. I would highly reccomend this book.

I had read another book in the series and really enjoyed it before listening to the audible book. At first I thought it wouldn't be good because the narrator's voice for the southern characters were so over the top. But once I got past it, the book started flowing and I got really really interested in it, and found the book enjoyable. I still didn't like the southern voice but thankfully was able to get past that.

The Southern accents of the characters In this narration sound quite authentic to me and I was born and raised "Down South". I really liked the story. I love cozy mysteries and have read many. This one is fun and has just the right of twists and turns to keep it interesting. A good book for a long Thanksgiving weekend. I purchased the book in digital print and the Audible versions. I wish it as Whispersync, but, it isn't. I do intend to continue on in the series.

I really enjoyed this Audible narration!

Sophie was born and raised in the south, she needs to have a southern accent!

If you could sum up The Diva Runs Out of Thyme in three words, what would they be?

Sophie is good at what she does and is very nice person. Those around her take full advantage her good nature She needs to stand up for herself!

What about Hillary Huber’s performance did you like?

Loved her voice! She does great accents and instills each character with their own personality. Hilary is one of the main reasons I've listened to the other Krista Davis "Diva" novels

cute story but wishy-washy heroine
