Story
The history of magic is as long as time and as wide as the world. In every culture, in every age, in every place and, probably, in every heart, there is magic. Harry Potter: A History of Magic reveals some of the hidden stories behind real-world magic and explores some of J.K. Rowling's magical inventions alongside their folkloric, cultural and historical forebears.

I didn't realize this is a picture book.

While there are many different interviews and people talking about the images with in the book, you should really just get the real book and look at it. It is hard to keep along with no real picture to look at, even though they do a fair job of describing each page.

Story
Nicola Marter was born with a gift. When she touches an object, she sometimes glimpses those who have owned it before. When a woman arrives with a small wooden carving at the gallery Nicola works at, she can see the object’s history and knows that it was named after the Firebird - the mythical creature from an old Russian fable. Compelled to know more, Nicola follows a young girl named Anna who leads her into the past on a quest through the glittering backdrops of the Jacobites and Russian courts, unearthing a tale of love, courage, and redemption.

I got this book because I so loved the first book about slains. This story is not that same but it did give me an end to baby Anna's story. The only thing I still could not get used to was the narrator. I found myself focusing on her voice instead of the story quite a lot.

What about Sarah Coomes’s performance did you like?
I liked that she was able to give each charecter a new voice
Any additional comments?
The story it self was hard to get into in the first few chapters. But over all good :)

Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Tobias was not in line with Tris in the narration, it could be that it was new to the story line that some chapters were from Tobais but they didnt seem to match well I thought.
