Good premise, but couldn't continue listening
Reviewed: 07-22-23
This is unlike any post-apocalyptic novel I have ever attempted to listen to. A gay MC with his femine partner...At first I thought he (MC) had a girlfriend, as the narrator uses a feminine voice, but soon realized that it was just a very feminine boyfriend. I tried to listen anyway, but it's just not for me. The classification should be updated so others will know what they are getting. YMMV.

Wow! This is great information that all leaders should be required to study! Having experienced both sides, as I'm sure most of you have, of following and leading...I've learned mostly from experiencing bad leadership/management. I hope to never lose trust from my team, and to not only retain the best of the best, but that the environment draws the best of the best. Servant leadership is key!

A look back at the beginning of the AIDS pandemic
Reviewed: 05-02-22
I'm enjoying this look back at how the public, government, and doctors reacted to a new pandemic...and see so many parallels to today's COVID pandemic. Having been born after the discover and a baby through many of the developing years, I had only a hint of the story. At many times the details given here are prime example of the total depravity of mankind as evidenced by disgusting behavior not even seen in the animal kingdom...I can see why many on the "outside" (in the early days) wanted nothing to do with helping, but can also see why that would be infuriating from the "inside". Politics and hardened hearts of man lead to a loss of compassion for mankind. I pray that all with this terrible disease would be healed, for the researchers minds and hands to be led to a cure, and mostly that God would use this terrible disease to bring His chosen children to him in repentance through His great grace. May we, one day, look back on this plague as a cured disease in the annals of mankind.
