This deeply moving, passionate, gritty story shows us where our culture could be heading and what could be the results of some of our more radical elements. It also shows where compassion and open heartedness reign, there can be healing. Would that it were so!

Powerfully moving story of turning trauma to triumph

Wow! I was expecting to be entertained. In addition to that I was moved, challenge re-think my own perspective choices and felt I was healing right along with Jilly.

This story combines magic, deep trauma, rotten luck and profound growth. It reminds us that in spite of what happens to us what we do is our choice and our responsibility. Such a rich and moving saga!

Cesar has a beautiful silky voice and the ideas behind the meditations are sound. However, the use of poor grammar, erratic patterns and nonsensical statements is nerve-racking. Many times I’ve been sinking into a meditation only to be shocked out of my reverie by a statement utilizing very poor English. Too bad. Other than that this would be a solid meditation series

I was really hoping or something dark and exciting. At least amusing. Most of the stories so far barely elicited a chuckle. So much overused pop vernacular like “you do you.” Very contrived, cliché and crushingly disappointing.

This is my second time listening to this book. I gained new insights. If the approach Ms. Brown suggest to life became a universal norm, we would see an end to most suicides and shootings. It would be a great healing for emotional illness and dysfunctional behavior that is passed down from generation to generation.

As an adult child of a dysfunctional family and a member of ACA, I have learned that the shaming language I grew up with at home, school and church taught me to be a critical, negative and shaming person. It has cost me so many precious friendships! Now that I no longer operate that way, I find I am able to keep people in my life and treat them with the same gentleness and kindness I need. I have also learned to disbelieve the voice of my inner critic and treat myself with compassion and love. What joy and serenity!
