Story
Roger Stringer grew up in rural Mississippi, hunting and eating everything from deer to rabbits. When he had two sons, Zac and Justin, he gave them guns and took them to the woods as well. Then one day when the boys were home alone, he got a call from Zac that Justin had been shot. What follows is an intimate and gripping memoir about the shooting’s aftermath. The story moves between the perspectives of Roger and Zac as they take us through their journey of betrayal, redemption, and ultimately confrontation with a company that had kept its corruption a secret for decades.

The narration is honest. The story, though short, twisted in a way I didn't expect.

I enjoyed this lecture series. There were many things that were covered that I had heard about before, but the relevance to the topics were consistent and enjoyable to listen to.

Story
James Crowley met his mortal end in a hail of gunfire. Now, he finds himself in purgatory, serving the White Throne to avoid falling to hell. Not quite undead, though not alive either, the best he can hope for is to work off his servitude and fade away. His not-so-sacred duty as a Hand of God? Use his new abilities to hunt down demonic beings that have infiltrated the mortal realm. This time, the White Throne has sent him to the middle of nowhere: a Western town called Dead Acre with a saloon, a moldy church, and little else worth talking about. There isn’t even a sheriff.

I am all about motivational talks and inspirational speeches, but the quality of the recording for this book is really sub par. the ironic thing about all of this is that the very first speech, by Bill Gates, is the worst! the editing is atrocious!! but the final speech, by Tony Robins, was the edited the best. next time the audio department should be advised to lead with their best and end, if you must, on your worst.
