Saw all the highly rated reviews and started it. One of the best books I’ve ever listened to and the world building is awesome because you are discovering it as the main character is. I feel a kinship toward Erik and will continue to root for his journey, lots of surprises in here as well!

They are commodities for sale, available for purchase by the highest bidder. So when the madame of a notorious brothel in a far-off city offers a king's ransom to purchase Amaris, Nox ends up taking her place—while Amaris is drawn away to the mountains, home of mysterious assassins.

This book had so many damn plot twists I could not have guessed anything that would be happening next, when it started k expected a much different book than I got when it ended ! This book has literally anything you could want. Takes a good 30 mins to get really going but I promise you it’s worth it !! I love it and even have the second book in paper copy already bc it’s not on audible !!
So sad it’s over

Story
Before the massacre at Nariin, Enebish was one of the greatest warriors in the Sky King’s Imperial Army: a rare and dangerous Night Spinner, blessed with the ability to control the threads of darkness. Now, she is known as Enebish the Destroyer - a monster and murderer, banished to a monastery for losing control of her power and annihilating a merchant caravan. Guilt stricken and scarred, Enebish tries to be grateful for her sanctuary, until her adoptive sister, Imperial Army commander Ghoa, returns from the war front with a tantalizing offer.

Very well written

The multiple plot twists in this book were completely unpredictable ! They definitely made your mouth drop internally if not physically. The performance is perfect, the enebish and the readers voice are synonymous and exactly how I would’ve imagined her speaking.
I won’t say it’s the most emotionally investing book ever or even the best story but it is a cool concept and the book is put together in a way that almost forces you to read the sequel which I have already bought. This author has other books that are good stories as well !!

An easy listen

This was something I put on when I was cleaning or didn’t want to hurt my brain haha. It was calming but not boring ! The narrator is perfect and I can imagine the main character sounding exactly like her. A fun little listen. Definitely do not skip over
