Story
June 5, 1967: The fearsome, Soviet-equipped Egyptian Army and its 1000 tanks are massed on Israel's southern border. Meanwhile, the Syrian Army is shelling the much smaller nation from the north. And to the east, Jordan and Iraq are moving brigades and fighter squadrons into position to attack. Egypt's President Nasser has declared that the Arab world's goal is no less than "the destruction of Israel."

Even though I knew how the conflict would end I found this book to be extremely exciting. I learned many of the little things about this conflict that you can't get from history books. All around a very informative and entertaining book. A must read / listen to anyone interested in the 6 Day War.

Disappointed
Reviewed: 12-13-23
Slow moving, seemed like he tried too hard to interject feelings and emotions. As this is not a complete work of fiction, and not a biography, I was caught between wondering what was the imagination of the author and what was historical writing. In the end I have decided these kind of books are not for me. It did not have a normal flow. I always read the reviews before getting a book and man these were all over the place. For those that think this war a all about slavery you will be upset. For those that understand the real reason of this war you will be happy.

Great Find!
Reviewed: 11-08-23
I have over 300 books in my library and have become kind of a snob with these books. It is getting increasingly harder for me to find a audio book that I like. This was a great find! The story had everything that makes a good book. Humor, suspense, drama and the whole spectrum of the emotional scale. The narration was excellent. This lady is a female RC Bray! I can't think of a better compliment than that. One of the best. You will not regret getting this book.

I only made it a 5 chapters before I had to stop. Every other chapter has racial, political garbage in it. I listen to books to get away from that stuff.

This book seem to have a hard start, or rather a start but did not know how to continue. The story line did not move. I couldn't tell if this was a love story or what. I am a sucker for time travel but this didn't use it to it's benefit. Maybe if I had kept with it. Oh well. I am not going to request my credit back because it is good enough that I will come back to it. I am just not feeling it right now. The narration took some getting use to, I might suggest trying not to be so dramatic, no one really talks that way after all.

I really enjoyed this book. I found there was very few parts where I zoned out not much caring what was going on. It kept me interested right from the beginning. The book had very little bla bla fill spots. The story was a believable natural progression with kind of a surprise ending. The characters were strong and true to story development. James Cronin is becoming one of my favorite narrators. I will put this in my favorites list and look forward to another listen.

The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Loved the whole series from the first day to the end. I like other reviewers thought the end could be a little more....... well just more. Thinking back to how the Elders and other species was thought of in the beginning and then to follow the story to the final conclusion was a real ride. Well worth the listen. What can be said about RC Bray?

Story
With its brilliant and brutal portrayal of the Corleone family, The Godfather burned its way into our national consciousness. This unforgettable saga of crime and corruption, passion and loyalty continues to stand the test of time, as the definitive novel of the Mafia underworld. A #1 New York Times bestseller in 1969, Mario Puzo's epic was turned into the incomparable film of the same name, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. It is the original classic that has been often imitated, but never matched.

I am 4 chapters in this book and it may as well be the first minute. I can't get into it. I like the narrator and the story sounds interesting but I can't continue right now. I am not going to return the book, I might want to come back to it latter on when I don't have so much going on. We will see.
