Story
Thomas Covenant is a leper, a bitter and solitary pariah who is mystically transported to another Earth where time moves differently than ours, one in which magic takes many forms. The Land is threatened by many evils, the most immediate of which is a maddened Cavewight whose subterranean excavations have unearthed the ancient and puissant Staff of Law. More dangerous to the free people of the Land is the Gray Slayer, Lord Foul, the Despiser, who intends to destroy the actual foundations of the Earth that he might wage war against the universe’s creator.

blah blah blah I don't care
Reviewed: 07-06-23
this story is needlessly wordy. no scene needs 26000 words to express and describe the emotions of an event and setting or even the inner monolog. Also, there's no need to describe the same scene from a different point of view if it doesn't add Significantly to the story. the narrator did a good job with this wordy drivel.

Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

good for what it is
Reviewed: 06-28-23
I just grabbed the book because of its length. it's not my cup of tea. The narrator needs to edit a bit. I have pretty good head phone I swear I heard her stomach growling, and I heard her break wind. it would be a decent book for those who like this genre , and can tolerate the narrator.

Trying to find a way out, he is turned into a vampire sorcerer. Condemned to a lifetime of trouble, Athanasios is dragged into a war with vampire slayers, ghoul-infested dungeons, and wizards from all over the continent.

swoosh, bang, tee hee, sigh, buzz
Reviewed: 03-24-22
So the author decided to shorthand the story by writing words like bang or swoosh , while describing a fight scene. I stay away from this author books from now on since he's lazy with his story telling in areas that matter. this book could have been better without the comic book sounds.

Alexander Grant is a little too good at a few too many things. Two dozen martial arts. Twice that many languages. Chess, the piano, sports, forging excused absences, you name it. He graduated high school top of his class 17 times. Of course, no one knows any of this. Not that he wants to go unnoticed. It’s just safer that way.

Story
Albert Johannson's forgotten more than he remembers about his past, but two things he's sure of: hH's lived a long, long time, and he doesn't trust anyone, particularly gods. He's not too fond of demons either, particularly the one that shows up in his kitchen looking for help with a supernatural investigation.

I really couldn't get into the story because every five seconds this book is mentioning a idol , or witchcraft, or demonology concepts. If this was a fantasy book cool.

Story
Where do you go when you die? If you guessed "a hellish videogame world where you're forced to fight for your life, solve puzzles, and sustain mortal injury only to be stitched back together to do it again", congratulations! Maybe that sounds kind of bad. But hear me out. Superpowers. Beautiful women at my side, some human and some decidedly not so much. And maybe, just maybe, if I survive long enough, I can find out what comes after the afterlife.
