As a botanist and professor of plant ecology, Robin Wall Kimmerer has spent a career learning how to ask questions of nature using the tools of science. Inspiring book. Has left me looking for reasons to be grateful. Once you look, they are easy to find. To start a fire, we just need a spark. I hope this book provides a spark for others, the way it has for me.

Enlightening and inspiring book and series

I read one Rick McIntyre book and decided to pick up another, and then another. This book was excellent and so are the others that I have read. I recommend them all and think you will get hooked on the Rick McIntyre books as I have. As humans, we can learn a lot from the wolves!

Story
Before men ruled the earth, there were wolves. Once abundant in North America, these majestic creatures were hunted to near extinction in the lower 48 states by the 1920s. But in recent decades, conservationists have brought wolves back to the Rockies, igniting a battle over the very soul of the West. With novelistic detail, Nate Blakeslee tells the gripping story of one of these wolves, O-Six, a charismatic alpha female named for the year of her birth.

Excellent audiobook. So glad that I took the time to listen to it. Educational from a scientific view point, emotional from a human interest standpoint and just a real joy to listen to. The writing was excellent and the narration kept you interested in every single word of every single story!

Powerful, impactful story

What a powerful story! It gives one a great appreciation for the power of the desire to achieve the American dream. What people will do to achieve freedom and dignity and the strength and fortitude that it takes to achieve it. We should never take that for granted! A must red
