Story
Something akin to peace has come to the Underdark. The demon hordes have receded, and now the matron mothers argue over the fate of Drizzt Do'Urden. Even so, it becomes clear to one matriarch after another that while the renegade drow may come and go, Menzoberranzan, the City of Spiders, will crawl forever on. And so Drizzt is free to return to his home on the surface once again. Scores are settled as lives are cut short, yet other lives move on. For the lone drow, there is only a single final quest: a search for peace, for family, for home.

Story
This title is the third and final book in the latest trilogy from R. A. Salvatore, which once again features his popular dark elf character Drizzt Do’Urden™. The original release of this title had the highest debut ever on The New York Times best seller list for a Salvatore title with Wizards of the Coast at number four. The title stayed in the top 20 for five weeks. Both of the previous titles in the series were also New York Times best sellers upon hardcover release, and the first title, The Thousand Orcs, hit the list upon mass-market release as well.

Story
Most people have heard of the Celts - the elusive, ancient tribal people who resided in present-day England, Ireland, Scotland and France. Paradoxically characterized as both barbaric and innocent, the Celts appeal to the modern world as a symbol of a bygone era, a world destroyed by the ambition of empire and the spread of Christianity throughout Western Europe. Despite the pervasive cultural and literary influence of the Celts, shockingly little is known of their way of life and beliefs, because very few records of their stories exist.

I’m a fan of mythology and this one covered a wide range. I wish it had gone into more depth of the myths but it did a great job. The narration helped the story.

Story
During his years in a neural-health facility, Pat Peoples has formulated a theory about silver linings. He believes that his life is a movie produced by God, that his mission is to become physically fit and emotionally supportive, and that if he succeeds, his happy ending will be the return of his estranged wife, Nikki. When Pat goes to live with his parents, everything seems changed: no one will talk to him about Nikki, and his new therapist seems to be recommending adultery as a form of therapy.

Horrible book

I tried to fight through this awful story for an hour through traffic. I am sure there could be some good to the story line but everything I listen was horrible. The main characters life, how he talked, and his relationships were presented in way that turned me off from the start. Even in rush hour traffic, I could not stand to listen to the main characters story/life.

Started great

The book started great. Great background information and attention grabber. However, the author got political on a couple topics and didn’t have all the facts or didn’t present all the facts. This made me start to question the rest of the book. If the author wants to hide facts in one area, it leads me to believe he did it elsewhere. Too bad. Had he kept to the topics more firm this could have had a much better rating. Disappointed that I spent money on this one.

Story
The ascension of Vladimir Putin - a former lieutenant colonel of the KGB - to the presidency of Russia in 1999 should have been a signal that the country was headed away from democracy. Yet in the intervening years - as America and the world's other leading powers have continued to appease him - Putin has grown into not only a dictator but a global threat. With his vast resources and nuclear weapons, Putin is at the center of a worldwide assault on political liberty.

Story
Most personal and organizational problems are the result of a little-known phenomenon called "self-deception". We deceive ourselves into thinking we're doing the right thing for the right reason, but people won't follow a leader whose motives are selfish. The tricky thing is, we don't know that our motivation is flawed. This audiobook explains what self-deception is, how people get trapped in it, how it undermines relationships and organizational achievement, and - most importantly - the surprising way to solve it.
