I love the underestimated main character trope!
Reviewed: 07-19-24
There is a lot of goor world building and I really like the OP main character trope too. The only thing I can fault it for is that the writing isn’t the best, especially in the first book. But a I have high hopes for the second pack.

I absolutely love this series! The performance is perfect, the characters are well written, it somehow manages to surprise me, it has top tier world building, it gets me in the feels, and it is so much fun to listen to! I might just have to give this one another listen as I wait for the next installment!

Great world building, fun loving story!

This is a great follow up to the first book in the series. It keeps the same tone and humor of the first book while expanding the world and continuing the story. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Story
One moment, everything was normal. Then the World Core woke up and slaughtered almost everything alive so it could harvest their Chi. After that, it rebuilt everything and put the survivors in a game-like environment, pitting them against monsters and each other. The rules are different now. Chi power is as important as being able to fight.

Lots of “intimacy”…
Reviewed: 06-06-24
The story is rather intriguing, until you realize the story is just a excuse for the MC to build a Harem. Spoiler warning: the MCs special ability is to be “intimate” with his party members and thus becomes more powerful.
I got about halfway through before I gave it up as a lost cause. If you like thinly veiled harem stories with fully voiced “intimacy” then you might like this. The voice acting was really good though!
But not what I am looking for…

I liked the story and writing a lot but the narrator is what really sold it for me. Very British. A Good wholesome read!

I really enjoyed the series. I am sad that it ended. I was hoping to see our main character go out, taking the fight to the demons throughout the multiverse! Sadly, it ended logically but it was largely unfulfilling.

Loved this Book! Top level high fantasy! Highly recommend! Found the switch between male and female readers a little jarring, but they were both good readers. I was disappointed that the chapters did not correspond to the actual chapters of the book.
