Dead or Alive? Not a hard question, and pretty easy to figure out either way. Usually. Except I've somehow woken up in a place called Hell, and I'm not entirely sure I died first. I thought it was a practical joke. Until a warrior woman tried to kill me, and I rescued an elf and a succubus from slavers. Turns out, this Hell is being terrorized by an evil king, and he’s hell-bent on bringing all of Hell under his dominion. He also happens to control the portal back to our world, which I very much want to use.

I killed a monster, and now I have magic. But then I died, too. I figured that was the end, but a mysterious group of strangers brought me back to life. Now, everything is different. I'm at the Arcane Academy for the Gifted, a school of magic where the women vastly outnumber the men. My days are for mastering my newfound power, and my nights—well, they are for "studying". Unfortunately, someone is sending monsters my way. I have to figure out who it is before they kill me. Because that resurrection thing was a onetime deal.

The first stage is done, but the World Core hasn’t finished with us yet. Now, the trials are about to begin, and time is ticking. Between the carnivorous plants and the mutated competitors, my whole team needs to collect as much Chi as possible if we hope to survive. Leveling up is the name of the game. Growing more powerful to compete with the monsters standing in our way. That’s where my special Chi skill comes into play. It gives us an advantage that others can’t match. And the distinct side effect that comes with it? Well, there has to be some benefit to the new rules.
