Great Story with Great Characters
Reviewed: 01-19-18
This book kept me riveted from beginning to end. I listened to and from work and never wanted to get out of the car. The story is engaging and the characters were well crafted. The narration was excellent, it was sometimes easy to forget it was the same person doing all the characters. I highly recommend for those who like historical fiction or even just a good story. It has been a long time that a story had me look up actual history to get a better idea of timelines and locations but this one did.

A manuscript illuminated with fantastical creatures said to have roamed the Garden of Eden, the bestiary has been handed down throughout the centuries by one of the Arab world's most prominent families. Commissioned to restore it is the beautiful young art curator Beth Cox. Entertaining in the car

Though this wasn’t as good as the last two of his books I listened to it was still very entertaining. The narrator did a great job with the different characters.

Story
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Good but not as good as A Dark Dark Wood
Reviewed: 09-20-17
A little bit more predictable than what I was hoping for after the previous book. The main character was a little hard to have empathy for.

Story
Former bounty hunter Rachel Morgan has it pretty good. She has left the corrupt Inderland Runner Service and started her own independent service. She's survived werewolves, shape-changing demons, bad-hair days, and sharing a church with her vampire roommate, Ivy. She even has a cute (if human) boyfriend - what more could a witch want? But living with a reformed vampire isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Hooked on this Series
Reviewed: 11-04-10
I have fallen in love with this series. It is a guilty pleasure on my commute to and from work. The narrator is great - she gives each character a good personality. I'll admit, that sometimes the main character seems a bit on the whiny side and sometimes the writing can get repetitive but the rest of the story makes up for it. This isn't for people looking for something "deep" - this is for people who just want to listen to something fun.

Story
Hear the immortal story of Arthur, the once and future king! The legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table is a superb story of adventure, love, honor, and betrayal. Originally published in 1485, Malory's epic poem, Le Morte d'Arthur, is filled with dramatic power and deep, tragic irony. Guenever, Launcelot, Mordred, the quest for the Holy Grail and the ultimate doom of Arthur's realm - it's all here.

I Really, Really Tried
Reviewed: 11-04-10
I've wanted to read this but never found the time so thought I would listen to it instead. The narrator was good but I just couldn't keep up with all the character and location changes. I thought the abridged version would be easier to follow but it was still just too difficult. I gave up after just a few days.

She's also a witch, one of the many Inderlanders who revealed themselves after a genetically engineered virus wiped out 50 percent of humanity. Witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves: the creatures of dreams and nightmares have lived beside humans for centuries, hiding their powers. But now they've stopped hiding, and nothing will be the same.

A Fun Listen!
Reviewed: 09-09-10
This book was just fun to listen to and I'm looking forward to hearing the rest in the series The main character is a bit dim witted at times but hey, who isn't. Though the reviews were mixed I decided to give it a shot and as long you are just looking for something entertaining to listen to in the car on the way to work this is for you.
