Great Support For the KonMari Method of Tidying Up
Reviewed: 05-05-24
This book is an experiential re-examination of Marie Kondo’s method. Needing support to get going on her method, this sounded like, and was, exactly what I needed to listen to.

Story
Arthritis is the most common cause of disability in the world - greater than both back pain and heart disease. One example, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), is the most common autoimmune disease, affecting 1% of the US population, and almost 68 million people worldwide. Conventional medicine tends to treat arthritis with strong, gut-damaging, immune-suppressing pain medications, temporarily relieving the symptoms of the disease without addressing its root causes.

Exactly What I Needed
Reviewed: 10-03-23
First of all, I admire the author for her experience with her own arthritis, her medical degree and patient healing. This book puts together all the diet guidelines I’ve followed in pieces, without full success. I believe Dr. Blum has nailed it. I will be ordering the book to have easier access to the recommended supplements and mind-body resources. Well worth the listening!

Story
As a member of the strictly religious Satmar sect of Hasidic Judaism, Deborah Feldman grew up under a code of relentlessly enforced customs governing everything from what she could wear and to whom she could speak to what she was allowed to read. Yet in spite of her repressive upbringing, Deborah grew into an independent-minded young woman whose stolen moments reading about the empowered literary characters of Jane Austen and Louisa May Alcott helped her to imagine an alternative way of life among the skyscrapers of Manhattan.

This is an inspiring, uplifting story of Steven Ritz’s life adventure in bringing classroom farming as a springboard for interdisciplinary learning and healthy eating. It felt like an adventure story as I listened each day, wondering, “What’s going to happen next?”

Story
Empathy is the power of understanding others, imaginatively entering into their feelings. It is a fundamental human attribute, without which mutually cooperative societies cannot function. In a revolutionary development, we now know who has it, who lacks it and why. Via the MRI scanner, we are mapping the human brain. This is a new frontier that reveals a host of beneficial ideas for childcare, teens challenged by the Internet, the justice system, decent health care, tackling racism and resolving conflicts.

Healing For Many Of Us

By the time I finished the book, I was moved to tears. This book outlines a way to heal from mystery illnesses with foods and supplements. I have medical tests that show I am positive for 7 of them. I am thrilled with hope of regaining vibrant health. As with Audible’s “Medical Medium” book, the writing and the narration are a listening pleasure. A hard copy of the book is on the way from Amazon so I can access the recipes more easily. Together, I have a healing treasury.

Fascinating story with a very interesting explanation for a range of “mystery” illnesses. The reader’s voice is a pleasure to listen to, with her English accent and wry sense if humor. I decided to try the 28 day cleanse for myself. Feel better than ever!
