I loved this new angle to the series. Julie is a full out, kick ass, mother. The new characters mingled with a few old ones perfectly.

Loved this series. Most enjoyable I've read in years. Uncomplicated but intricate enough to keep me wanting to see what happens next.

The story was good, with a very interesting antagonist. But the ending was a bit abrupt and unsatisfying. Things that had been important throughout the book were not mentioned or resolved at the end, leaving me sputtering, "But, but, what about..."

These were very good. Each one a little window into the world is the characters from the Iron Druid series. The narration was amazing as usual. Good job!

Rambling and Whiny

I read this after the hype from other women about it being about a brave woman surviving in a world of male domination and found it to be incredibly boring and not what I expected. The "Brave Heroine" was nothing but a whiny victim in a world dreamed up as half anti-male, half bondage fantasy. There was nothing inspiring or interesting and the writing rambled around, failing even to fully develop a coherent story. I guess my standards of female heroism it higher as well as my standard of story telling.

Thanks for listening to the fans of this series. John Glover did a good job on the first one, but James Marsden is the voice of Dresden and catches all the subtle nuances of his personality and mannerisms.

The story is great and the performance is perfect.

it was ok but the author seemed to think the audience was too stupid to see the obvious and constantly had the characters saying "but, Richard, I don't understand," over and over until I wanted to smack them.
