The story is about what you’d expect from a 3 star romance book, it WAY over hyped but it’s fun. But I can see why it’s popular.
The male actor was great and I loved his narration
The female actor drove me crazy with the husky whispering she did for the male characters, it almost made me turn the audio off.
I think

Story
After the death of my mother and her Bonded, I was relieved to find my own Bonds. I was sure everything would be okay if I had them. It wasn’t. The fate of our people is in my hands, and I know we’re better off if I’m alone. After five years on the run, I’m caught and dragged back to face the men I ran away from. I thought I was doing the right thing. Now, I’m not so sure.

I devoured this book and the whole series in a week, it had all the troupes I love!
-Strong FMC who is way stronger than she or anyone thinks
-Enemies to lovers
-Male characters who will end the world for her
-Why Choose
-My 1 negative is Nox... I get he is damaged, but I just wanted to skip every chapter in his POV (I know it is NOT a popular opinion)

Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

This Book!
How fun, a little expected and predictable but that still made it fun! The 2 Main characters were interesting and well-written, I am hopeful the next book will offer more of the character's inner thoughts and give the FMC more interesting internal dialogue than just being horny (I mean I get it) but I'd like to see her being more of a self-assured badass, and WAY more of the dragons.

I was SO excited about this book, the synopsis sounded like it was written just for me. It was beautifully written and the storyline was compelling. I can NOT wait for the 2nd book, I want more for the 2 MC I want to see more of them.

Story
Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

The story is 3/10 - but we’re not reading for plot.
The narrative performance 2/10 - the male voice was SO cringey.
The Spice - 10/10 - NOT for the faint of heart, but fun.

It was a B

It wasn’t 100% for me, I was really really excited when I started it cause the reviews were so great, but for me it was ok…. It is a beauty and the beast meets mythology retelling, in theory, that’s amazing, however, I didn’t ever fully lose myself in the story. The romance never really seemed authentic to me, I wasn’t rooting for them to get together, it never seemed genuine. It wasn’t for me but I can say the writing was great and a beautiful world builder.
