Don’t waste your time. AI generated garbage.
Reviewed: 04-08-24
The quality of this content is atrocious. It literally sounds like someone used AI to generate the content. Extremely repetitive, and uses a lot of words, but never really ends up saying much of anything. In fact, the quality is so bad, that it’s actually fascinating. I listened to the first chapter, skip ahead for a couple more snippets, and found out that it wasn’t getting any better. I understand this is an extraordinarily harsh review. It is accurate, and well-deserved.

To the townspeople of Blayne, Utah, population 202, Nick Mercer was just a friendly thirty-something woodworker living in a small cabin at the end of a dirt road. But Nick also kept a fully stocked bug-out bag complete with a take-down sniper rifle, assorted passports and a pouch full of uncut diamonds hidden in the wall near his back door along with concealed surveillance cameras spread around his property.

I enjoyed the book and it is worth your time if you have enjoyed such books as Last of The Breed. It did feel a little short, but overall well done!
I would have appreciated double the length and more of an in depth storyline with character development along the way, rather than relying on spy-backstabbing-spy as plot twists.

Great stories. Faulty world view.
Reviewed: 11-30-23
The worldview of “finding oneself” and “seeking the inner wisdom” was a turn off. While the stories of tracking and some of the wisdom gained from it is valuable, the underlying New Age world view that the author seeks to communicate through his writings is one that leads only to death, not true life and prosperity.

In August of 1914, the British ship Endurance set sail for the South Atlantic. In October 1915, still half a continent away from its intended base, the ship was trapped, then crushed in the ice. For five months, Sir Ernest Shackleton and his men, drifting on ice packs, were castaways in one of the most savage regions of the world. Lansing describes how the men survived a 1,000-mile voyage in an open boat across the stormiest ocean on the globe and an overland trek through forbidding glaciers and mountains.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn famously said that one of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming totalitarianism can't happen in their country. I have read few books that have impacted me this much. While I don’t share the same denominational background as the author (he is Eastern Orthodox and I am Anabaptist), the message is spot on applicable to my life.
The warnings of soft totalitarianism through tech and social engineering, the call to resistance, the testimonies of the saints, and the guidance in the “how to” is most sublime. Highly recommended! I will be getting a copy of this in paperback to put on my bookshelf for further reference.
Get this book. Read it. Live not by lies.

An excellent storyline, writing, and encouragement. The concept and much of the descriptions of the spiritual realm, the demonic new age, and warfare are accurate and real, though the Christian has a more active role than portrayed, if they are aware of these things. An excellent book I would recommend for real world application on real world spiritual warfare is “When Pigs Move In” by Don Dickerman.
