Story
Addison’s about to get married, but she’s not looking forward to the big day. It’s not her fiancé; he’s a wonderful man. It’s because Addison doesn't know who she really is. A few years ago, a kind driver found her bleeding next to a New Jersey highway and rescued her. While her physical wounds healed, Addison’s memory never returned. She doesn’t know her real name. Or how she ended up injured on the side of a road. Or why she can’t shake the notion that she may have done something very, very bad.

Not what I expected
Reviewed: 07-11-21
Loved Liv Constantine other books but this was disappointing, in my opinion. I didn’t care for any of the characters and found the plot a little boring and far fetched. I listened to the entire book but but I think I was making faces through most of it.

Only everything she learns about him online says otherwise. According to his social media accounts, he placed roots in her hometown, married a look-alike, and even named his daughter Grace. He clearly hasn’t moved on. In fact, it’s creepy. So Grace does what any concerned ex-girlfriend would do: She moves home…and watches him.

Was an ok story

Definitely not my favorite book by this author. It was entertaining enough but did not really keep my attention as much as her other books. Predictable ending and the story was pretty easy to figure out early on. Narrator is one of the best in my opinion and did another great job!

Disappointed!
Reviewed: 05-08-21
I love this author and was so excited for her new book. I didn’t care about any of the characters and they were all annoying. Knew how this was gonna end, easy to see coming. Was thankful when it ended and I didn’t have to listen to these characters go on and on and whine and repeat. Will still read this author but feel like this book was terrible.

I liked this book. I thought it was pretty entertaining throughout. IMO it didn’t seem to belong in the mystery/thriller genre but maybe others will disagree. I was invested in Tara/Angela and I wanted to keep listening to see how it would play out.

I loved this book. The story was interesting and dark. I will miss the characters now that it’s over. Caitlin Mullen brought the seedy and desperate world of Atlantic City to life. The narration was perfect.

Something different
Reviewed: 03-06-20
I really liked that this book had a different premise than most of the mystery/thriller’s I’ve listened to. It had great narration and a cast of female characters mostly up to no good. It was different and I enjoyed it very much

Wouldn’t recommend

This book was ok. I listened to the entire thing but never felt invested in characters and didn’t really like them. Storyline wasn’t what I would consider suspenseful or a mystery. Everyone was self absorbed and rather boring. Narration wasn’t my favorite either.

Dark but good
Reviewed: 02-21-20
The subject matter is very dark and there is child abuse. It’s a disturbing book. I think it’s well written. The characters are broken and really horrible. I don’t think you have to like characters in a book to make it good.
