Story
Maybe I have an overactive imagination, but the hot guy next door totally gives off serial killer vibes. Why else would he know how long it takes to bleed out from a wound? Yeah, ok, so I asked, but it was research. Being an author definitely makes for some odd questions (someone had better clear my browser history when I die, that's all I'm saying). It's not like I'm stalking my hot neighbor or anything—there's nothing wrong with watching him out my window. Although I might have my own stalker (and not the cute harmless kind), which is kind of terrifying.

Story
Every pack needs a Keeper, an omega to smooth their rough edges. And Josh definitely isn't it. Forced to babysit some spoiled and disgraced omega actor, Cole is not a happy alpha. He's determined to send Josh packing, whatever it takes. But first impressions aren't everything. All Josh has to do is keep his head down and survive his month of "volunteering." Easier said than done when the alpha he's staying with is treating him like some sort of Cinderella. There's something different about Cole and his friends.

It was a very good story and I was unable to stop listening to it. I finished in less than a day. It helps that the narrator is perfect at his job. I also love this Author, I own multiple of her books/series on Kindle and here. If you like domestic dramas with all the needed love, found family and happy endings then you'll love her books.

I loved the story and the narrative was perfectly executed. The narrator was able to pull you into the story and keeping you interested. I like the way that the story was not predictable with the thriller part.

It's all a matter of opinion, but Carter's day is going pretty badly. He's an engineer captured by bug aliens, now depending on his large, muscled, naked cage mates for food and warmth. They seem sentient, so that's good. But they're also handsy. Which is...complicated. The military isn't looking for him. Slaves taken by the bug race never come back. Yet, Carter is very much alive, and if he wants to stay that way, he'll need to trust Pykh and Siel, two affectionate aliens with claws, teeth, and size.

Mr. Leslie is an awesome voice actor. I've read this series myself and it came alive in my mind. I enjoyed the story so much I wanted to hear it acted out. And I also should mention that I've heard other books Mr. Leslie has narrated and I love him as a voice actor. I'm glad he was the one to bring this story alive. I honestly believe that it was worth the buy.

Story
I’ve never wanted a relationship—especially not with a human. With my father demanding my return to Hell and a demon leaving dead bodies in my bookshop, now is not the time to lose my heart. One look in Oscar’s broken eyes, and I know I’m in trouble. Oscar’s been hurt before, and everything in me screams to keep him safe. How can I do that when I know being with me will only put him in more danger? More importantly, am I strong enough to walk away from him?

Jules is an ordinary 19-year-old omega from a perfectly respectable family. He’s not the most beautiful, or the smartest, or the strongest of the four Blake siblings. And he’s fine with it, really. He isn’t ugly or anything, but by omega standards, he’s nothing special. “Nothing special” describes Jules’ whole life. It’s utterly boring.

The voice actor
Reviewed: 07-15-24
Again I love this story and was happy to hear it in audio. The voice actor did so much better on this book than he did on the first installment. I was able to feel and hear the different emotions and snark. I usually am able to do that when I read a book independently from the audio versions. And was very satisfied that the voice actor didn't sound as bored when acting out this story. I love Alessandra Hazard books. She never fails to captivate and her characters are people you can relate to. I own every book she's written so far and now look forward to the audio versions.

The voice actor
Reviewed: 07-14-24
I love the story. I've read the book countless times on Kindle. But the voice actor actually made me regret this purchase. It is possible to ruin an experience for someone and they accomplished that fully. His diction was perfectly understandable, however the way he read it gave the impression of boredom. I hope the next book is better, considering I already bought it.

I say put on your seatbelts folks because it's going to be a bumpy ride. Once you think you know what's going on, you are thrown into more chaos. I think there was only maybe two predictable moments of which you get smacked with stupid stereotypes that you enjoy their demise. But I swear the crazy in this book ate his Wheaties because let me just say that he gives the Joker a run for his money. Listening to this book was as exciting as watching a great movie. I read it prior to listening and let me tell you, I promise you that I was not disappointed with the voice actors. I love the book but I love the audio book more.

Story
Kyran Harbor is everything I'm not. Rich. Popular. A superstar football player who's awfully broody for someone who has it all. Basically, he's a preppy jock who hates me. Oh, and he's also my stepbrother. That's right. We're stuck together, sharing a school, a house, a bathroom. Honestly I wouldn't care if he wasn't such an uptight control freak who messes with me just because we're different. I had every intention of avoiding him when we got to college. Until abrupt misfortune forces us both into a compromising position.

I loved the story in it's entirety. The only downfall was there wasn't much in way of surprise. I was elated toward the end when his father finally not only admitted his fault in his part of his son's anguish but also put forth effort to improve their overall relationship. There were no real villains in this story, well besides the dead one that was referenced to, just human beings making mistakes and learning from them. People think parenting is easy and everyone knows what to do. But not all parents know how to handle trauma and sometimes they forget their children in the trauma. They make huge mistakes that inadvertently causes things to spiral out of control and become even bigger. All relationships takes work, even between parent and child. I'm glad that point was presented in this book. I'd definitely read or listen to more by this author. And the voice actors were amazing. 10 out of 10!

Snagging the hunter was the easy part. Now, I have to prove to him that a life filled with chaos, the most amazing fish ever, and delightful me is so much better than normal—trust me, he isn’t too hard to convince. But when a group of insolent chimeras laughably think they can target my one true love, they have another thing coming for them—likely death.
