Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Cora Bender killed a man. But why? What could have caused this quiet, lovable young mother to stab a stranger in the throat, again and again, until she was pulled off his body? For the local police it was an open-and-shut case. Cora confessed; there was no shortage of proof or witnesses. But Police Commissioner Rudolf Grovian refused to close the file and began his own maverick investigation.

As much as I enjoyed this I felt like I missed out on something- like I should have been told to read "the course of miracles" first!
There are so many references to that book that it felt like this was a sequel of it- and I was jumping in mid story .

Where does Gone Girl rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
With the best of them!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Gone Girl?
There are so many places in this story where I was thinking one thing, and then was surprised with "oh my gosh no way !"
Which character – as performed by Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne – was your favorite?
Seeing how both of these characters make you feel as crazy as they are made me enjoy both of them however if I had to choose sides I like Kirby's more .
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! The constant twists and turns has made me more interested in reading more books in this category that is not my typical MO

I haven't tasted chocolate for over ten years and now I'm walking down the street unwrapping a Kit Kat. Remember when Kate Moss said, 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'? She's wrong: chocolate does. At the age of 32, after ten years of hiding from the truth, Emma Woolf finally decided it was time to face the biggest challenge of her life. Addicted to hunger, exercise and control, she was juggling a full-blown eating disorder with a successful career, functioning on an apple a day.

Would you consider the audio edition of An Apple a Day to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the print, but did find it refreshing to have it read by the actual author.
What was one of the most memorable moments of An Apple a Day?
Having the points in the story where I knew just what certain feelings felt like or just how the brain works when having a ED.
Have you listened to any of Emma Woolf’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The Idea of not being able to just have a baby because of an illness that needs to be fixed was moving. Luckily for myself I never had issues with getting pregnant, or not able to because of my on and off ED issues.

Would you try another book from Marissa Meyer and/or Rebecca Soler?
Yes, I do enjoy the sci fi story of young women! Also hoping book 3 is better then two.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Learning the history of the characters was interesting, I'm still debating if I enjoy the little comical parts between Cinder and her fellow escape buddy.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I was a little disappointed that you could tell what was going to happen vs. being surprised, but still the story is good and I hope to be interested in #3 book.
