Sweet little g rated story
Reviewed: 12-26-22
this is a sweet little g-rated story that takes place and the early 1800s. in a small town in England. it's the 2nd in a four book series. it's a nice break from reality. it's relaxed and kind and a little village where everybody helps each other. and then this book they had to find a missing book of Christmas carols or else the Christmas extravagance I couldn't go on.

Story
Russ Harris offers a surprising solution to low self-confidence, shyness, and insecurity: Rather than trying to "get over" our fears, he says, the secret is to form a new and wiser relationship with them. Paradoxically, it's only when we stop struggling against our fearfulness that we begin to find lasting freedom from it.

I'm a history lover and this book what is pretty good about matching up with historical facts of the day and then making its own story on the side. it has a good pace with enough of a mix of intrigue and surrounding storyline to keep you interested all the way through. This is the third book of red from this author and I'll be coming back for more

Loved the story. Male characters were loud
Reviewed: 12-13-20
I love Anne Easter Smith and her stories. This one was in her fully researched and explained style. You really know her characters.
The narrator was very good. The only bump in the performance was that she portrays the male characters a bit loud, compared to the females. Everything else was beautiful.

James is so open & trusting to share this with us
Reviewed: 03-11-20
I don't know how the people that had negative comments misssed the beauty in this. He had a hard life of course it was very mellow. I'm sorry if they didn't know that before coming into this. It's very brave and trusting of James to open up and let everyone see what happened to him and how his music was born.
I thought the musical segues we're good punctuation marks to bring together what he had just said. Plus for me his music is so emotional that it made the story hit home even deeper.
So, James, thank you so much!
