Seeing the crazy whiplash of Trump decision really aren’t surprising when you listen between the lines and really hear the common threads of books like this and Mary Trump’s book and the many others. I actually think Trump is more crazy than criminal, and he’s the equivalent of a mob boss. He turned the Presidency into a Ponzi scheme.

If you try to peel away some of the perspective as to Mary's undoubted vision to paint Freddy (her father) in a more rose color. There is still a lot of information to be gleaned from the remainder of the family. I found the information into the Trump siblings family dynamics as adults a lot more interesting than the childhood upbringing. Thank you to Mary Trump and her brother's attorney for keeping their records from Fred Trump's probated estate. I can only imagine the criminal enterprise that is the TRUMP brand. History will probably shine on Donald Trump as the PT Barnum of politics.

Could easily do a few web search and come up with the details. Not as much impressed with the concepts supplied but while listening it sparked my own ideas. For that reason, there is value to be had. In my opinion,as time goes on, some of the content will become more and more dated.

Where does The Little Book of Common Sense Investing rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Dec 2017 I had meeting with my investment advisor, my wife and I left the meeting and we both conferred (on the car ride home) that he seemed not his usual confident self. In the meeting he was presenting new fund family and investment company. There was some talk of DOL changes to advice regulations. All these factors immediate caused warning alarms in our common sense. Not that we thought he was bad, but made us put the brakes on moving ahead with any of his suggestions immediately. That's when I started asking others and reading and linking to books and authors. John C Bogle investment philosophy rings truest to my gut feeling. I selected this book because it is the Anniversary edition and figured it had the most info as it pertains to updated examples-2017economics-recent political climate. I am glad I have have found this book.Keep a notebook handy. There are a lot of references to other authors that you may want to read. I am going to pour through several other books but I suspect that there's going to be changes made in my investment philosophy. I appreciate John Bogle's life work that it has "waken" this blue collar worker to the reality that.... Arithmetic is the first of the sciences and the mother of safety and that costs makes the difference between investment success and failure.

Any additional comments?

From inside your Audible's Library page (I am on pc-not a mobile app) look in the Title column - You will see a hyper-link with the title of the book, look just below the title for "PDF", click on that link and it will open up the accompanying .pdf referred throughout the book.

Fight Back Against Unfair Debt Collection Practices Audiobook By Fred Williams cover art

Would have given it 2.5 star if it were an option.

Overall
2 out of 5 stars

Reviewed: 01-21-11

In my opinion, this book should have been WAY shorter and cost less. Fred spent only 12 weeks working undercover with all the trainee collectors and only made it out of the First phase of training on a gimme at week 10ish. He never spent time with the higher ranking collectors. The ones that generate HUGE fee for the company. Those are the ones that I wanted to learn about. Not the trainee collectors. The 12 weeks of collection office experience was turned it into the first 5:30 min of story about said experience and the characters that he worked with. Then in the last 32 minutes the real information is revealed. Which was (at best) ok and saved the book from a 1 star.

A little different than I expected

Overall
3 out of 5 stars

I am going to give this book 5 stars because it was better (in a good way!)than I expected. I thought that the book was going to be entirely about how the author ate "rice and beans" and got out of debt. There is some of that in the book but it also has a lot of information that prevokes thoughts like... What is it that I want out of life? or How doe being normal keep me from the living the life that I want? You will get out of the book as much as you are willing to be open minded at looking toward the possiblility that you may need to make changes in your life.

Selling You! Audiobook By Napoleon Hill cover art

It may or may not be worth your time and money.

Overall
4 out of 5 stars

If you already own Hill's other works, you may feel that you have just paid for what you already own. I had spent the time and money on Law of Success vol 1-4 and I felt that this book was a good overview of that material. But don't get me wrong, if you are NEW to Hill's books... by all means it is worth the investment of time and money.

Baby Steps Count!

This book is inspiring and motivating. My wife purchased that book for me. You see, I have been kind of sitting on the sidelines waiting for a push to start a business of my own. I have thought that I was going to be laid off and was just waiting for that to happen so that I would go do my own thing. I will have to say that learning ALL the adversities that Chris had to overcome and learning the different Life Lesson illustrated in the book and how to apply them to your own life is what make this audio book "credit worthy" to me.
