This book taught me how to be a well-prepared mentee for my future mentors. I am grateful for the valuable resources provided for future use. There are great recommendations for books related to this topic and online resources for those seeking a career change. There are so many great nuggets of information that I will be reading it again and taking notes this time. I appreciate that the book was narrated by the author. It felt like she was in the room mentoring me. I recommend this book to any professional looking to enhance their career through a mentoring process.

A lot of good information overall but I wish I would have looked at the date first before buying as I know better than a lot of the information that was provided. It is a good book for new families. I feel like the narrator was asked to be super perky in her delivery. That was not necessary.

I loved it. Yes Amy, I listened instead of reading but I'll have you know I cooked freezer meals for 12 weeks of school and cleaned my house before I have to go back to work as a music teacher, amateur actor and musician. Your book was a breath of fresh air and is giving me the confidence to finally write my story ( a 40 something Iowan imprisoned in an Arabian paradise). My 10 year old daughter listened to parts of the book with me and we laughed so much. You are a kind soul with a truly entertaining heart. By the way, I spit out my drink when you talked about the music teacher making whistling sounds in the Wizard of Oz as a kid. I was that lady just a decade ago! Thank you for opening up your vulnerable and honest self to the masses. So frightening and so brave.

I loved the story but I am glad I was 40 before discovering this one.
