Story
Empire of the Summer Moon spans two astonishing stories. The first traces the rise and fall of the Comanches, the most powerful Indian tribe in American history. The second entails one of the most remarkable narratives ever to come out of the Old West: the epic saga of the pioneer woman Cynthia Ann Parker and her mixed-blood son, Quanah, who became the last and greatest chief of the Comanches.

A truly rare review from me
Reviewed: 02-03-23
I can’t remember taking the time to write a review, even when I truly enjoyed a book. With so many stories of homeless people in the news this was relevant to our times. I pass homeless people everyday, just as many of you. I donated my time and money to various organizations such as the Salvation Army, and others while ignoring the actual people on the street. Heaven forbid I should make eye contact. If you are like me, listen to this book. You may not be able to put it down.

In The God I Never Knew, Robert Morris clearly explains that the Holy Spirit's chief desire is for relationship - to offer us the encouragement and guidance of a trusted friend. This insightful and biblically-based book moves beyond theological jargon, religious tradition, and cultural misconceptions to clarify what the Holy Spirit promises to do in your life.

I’m a Christian, but you could say, a shallow one. I learned a lot from this book. I could say it was life changing, and I just finished yesterday.

Much better than the movie
Reviewed: 12-30-22
I was frankly surprised at how much of the book had to be cut from the movie. The book had hours to go from where the movie ended. Well worth the difference.

Please, no background music.

The New Age music playing in the background was incredibly annoying, especially when trying to listen in the car. If I want background music, I can play my own. Seriously, it’s a REAL distraction.
