Pure Propaganda: "The Split" by Shaun Rein
Reviewed: 02-22-25
The book reads less like an objective assessment and more like promotional material aimed at attracting foreign investment by minimizing China's real issues. Rein's selective use of examples and avoidance of critical discussions on sensitive topics.
In short, "The Split" serves more as a guide for cheerleading China's economic agenda than a balanced examination of its complexities.
