I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out...and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: The Winchesters don’t know who I really am. They don’t know what I’m capable of....

It is always so annoying to see "reviews" by readers who think people want to read their detailed summaries of the book. So tiring. So avoid those, and just listen to/read the the book. Well written, suspenseful. Will hold your interest.

Just painful. Really there us nothing more to say past that. This book had really no plot, just repeated offenses by the mother in law. Yo the point where the story lost my interest. I will make apoint to avoid this author in the future. No talent and waste of money!!!

The story was a surprising disappointment. I felt embarrassed for not only the author, but the narrator as well. It felt like a story written by a grandmother, and narrated by an even older grandmother. I would love to have missed this one.

Story
All women want to kill their husbands some of the time. "Where there's a will, I intend to be in it", wives half-joke to each other. Marriage, it would appear, is a fun-packed frivolous hobby, only occasionally resulting in death. But when Jazz Jardine is arrested for her husband's murder, the joke falls flat. Life should begin at 40, but not with life imprisonment for killing your spouse.

This was honestly an offensive and boring rant against men. As a woman, I was offended. The narrator was good as usual, but I'm surprised she took the job. Theres no story here. Advice to other members - look elsewhere.

At this point I think that Freida McFadden has a duty to deliver more of this story to her readers! I'm gearing up for the follow up, but really this audiobook was so entertaining, I was wishing it had more hours to it. So funa and engaging!!! I loved the characters!!! And this is after listening to the Surrogate Mother, which was excellent. So glad I found this writer. It takes a lot of talent to write both suspense and humor so well.

I only chose this audiobook because it was narrated by January Lavoy. Apart from her usual wonderful narration, the book itself fails to grab the reader. It lacks a solid plot, and the characters are many, lackluster and shallow. I try not to bash anyone's work but this has no redeeming qualities.
