The narrator was great. I just really couldn’t get into the story. I listened to the whole thing and couldn’t tell you anything about it as it could not hold my attention.

I really enjoyed this listen. Although it’s part of a series it can be read as a standalone. Having said that, I am going to go back and listen to the first two books of this series.
I only started with this one because I was given a code for this book in a group that I belong to.
Not only did I love this story but I loved John Solo’s performance as usual. It was well worth the listen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I loved the characters and the perfect blend of romance, action and a tiny bit of suspense. I liked the way we had a POV from all three main characters. I also loved how the side characters were brought into the story. Although I was trying to guess who the villain was, it was a true surprise at the end.

I look forward to reading or listening to the rest of this series.

This is a new to me author but Declan Winters is fast becoming one of my favorite narrators.

I have read all the books available in this series already but it’s so good to hear Michael bring these characters to life. I absolutely love his narration style.

This author has a way of making you actually want to know more about all the ambiguous side characters. And believe me, they are ambiguous.

All in all this is a good listen with a little spice and a little suspense.

I haven’t lived in TX for years but in my opinion the way she portrays the characters although a tiny bit over the top is spot on depending on what area you’re from.

I can’t wait for the rest of this series to be brought to audio. Especially if Michael Dean is narrating.

I listened to this book after listening to a very long intense series with some dark subject matter. This book was such a contrast. A short listen that was so light and cute. The narrator is a new to me narrator and he didn’t disappoint. A nice change of pace for me.

I thought it was a pleasant listen. Full disclosure, When I requested this book to listen to and review, I thought it was a MM romance. So, keep in my review is tempered by my disappointment with my mistake.

Having said that, this is a pretty good listen. I like the premise of the story and the different take on Greek mythology. I really liked the two main characters and the narrator was great. I will definitely recommend this book to my friends that like this genre

I was given this audiobook free for my honest review. I enjoy Brenda Cothern's books and this was no different. Good start to the series. The narrator is new to me so it took me a little bit to get use to his voice. However, it was a pretty decent listen. I can't wait for the next one to come out on audio.

I was given this book for free but I definitely enjoyed it. After listening to the short and sweet book 1, I was glad to get this one. I wish the rest were on audio so I could binge the whole series. I guess I have to settle for reading the ebooks instead.

Anyway, good addition to the series. The narrator was great as well. I'm grateful I received this book as I enjoyed it immensely.

This was a sweet shifter story by a new to me author. I purchased this book because I was given the second book to the series for free. I wanted to listen to the books in order.

Very enjoyable listen. I've heard this narrator in other books and am fast becoming a fan.

Looking forward to listening to book 2

I love the Challenge series. This is one of my goto listens when I am in the mood for a scifi comfort listen. However, I think I must be the only one who didn't care for Stephanie's character. I admired the dream she had of becoming the first woman blah blah blah. I just didn't like the way she was written.

So, while I cannot even count how many times I have reread and relistened to this series. I tend to fast forward through this particular book, because I really did not care for Stephanie.

The narration was great and even the sound effects that some other reviewers did not seem to care for were good. All in all I love this series and after this umpteenth relisten to it, I cannot wait to relisten again once Amena and Barrack's story finally comes out.
