Too vulgar to be enjoyable :(
Reviewed: 07-07-19
True, the warning says it's for adults, but what kind of sad adults need that much vulgar language to be entertained. Im not opposed to adult themes, but I definitely don't want to feel more dumb after listening. Low class vulgar stuff here. Really poor taste Audible! Very disappointed.

Steve's life all summed up
Reviewed: 01-10-17
Being an avid Steve Young fan from a very early age, I am familiar with most of his life. This personal telling of his journey through football and life brought more meaning and direction to his life than I had previously been aware of. He did a fine job of mixing just enough football stories in with his life to not be overwhelming to the non-football fan. An excellent read for someone interested in standing for your values and beliefs amid the tumult of differing values and opposition.

The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

Just like my grandmother's stories
Reviewed: 01-10-17
What a phenomenal book about the French Underground. As I read this fictional telling, I could see my grandmother and her family going through the same things. The stories my grandmother would tell me, match almost exactly with the situations in this book. Be prepared for a few tears of sadness and a few hollers of joy all mixed together as you sit to read. Also be prepared to read for a while, this story is very hard to put down.

Some interesting facts and stories. The whole book seemed rather disjointed. There was no clear reason started about why the war still matters today. A good read if you want a bunch of random stories that don't come to any point or conclusion at the end.

Story
Finding and identifying a pirate ship is the hardest thing to do under the sea. But two men—John Chatterton and John Mattera—are willing to risk everything to find the Golden Fleece, the ship of the infamous pirate Joseph Bannister. At large during the Golden Age of Piracy in the seventeenth century, Bannister should have been immortalized in the lore of the sea—his exploits more notorious than Blackbeard’s, more daring than Kidd’s. But his story, and his ship, have been lost to time.
