I love a good villain. Power is indeed a very intoxicating way to corrupt one's soul. Sprinkle in a bit of intrigue and you have a wonderful excuse for a new audio binge.

Good foundation but...
Reviewed: 10-16-23
I really love the series. The foundation is set and I can't wait until the next one. I just can't give it a full 5 stars because so far, there is only foundation. The story needs to go on the offense before it loses the initiative or my limited attention span.

You got UNC as the camper. Ascendant Horizon the Asian twins sharing one computer. Simon the try hard. Tad and Rose as the pair with the obvious crush on each other but still try to hide it. I didn't enjoy the middle school level romance on the earlier books but the battles and associating it to my favorite game makes it genuinely enjoyable for me.
