This Audible production is excellent. It actually adds to the narrative power of the story and the presence of the characters in the mind.

With clarity and heart the author attacks the Augean Stables of received environmental opinion, sophistry and hypocrisy. The result is an humanistic environmentalism, which was what used to attract many of us in the first place.

Thank you.

This is a wonderful and necessary read, especially for Americans, of all races. It is a powerful corrective to a pervasive cloud of distorted accounts of our history (and present) and the history of others.

This is an excellent overview of a subject that perturbs the thinking of many, perhaps most people. The state of knowledge in this field has come in a rush in recent decades, and I am grateful for this rigorous general update.

A marvelous life, and marvelously told. Hitch is brilliant but not remote, a teacher but not a pedant, a moral example but not a boor.

To say I loved it would sound saccahrin. I would say, rather, that I am astonished at how much we have been given, and how much we have allowed to slip away. I am grateful to Dr. Sowell for educating me so well about our perilous national condition.
