Story
Pretty and popular high school senior Andie Bell was murdered by her boyfriend, Sal Singh, who then killed himself. It was all anyone could talk about. And five years later, Pip sees how the tragedy still haunts her town. But she can't shake the feeling that there was more to what happened that day. She knew Sal when she was a child, and he was always so kind to her. How could he possibly have been a killer?

Great narration

I was worried about listening due to the nature of the book and the fact that there are a lot of log style pages. But the narrator was amazing!

This was my first time reading a book by Anne Gracie and I can definitely say it won't be my last. Gideon, Lord Carradice, is my new book boyfriend. The plot kept moving. There were some fun twists. But the banter was *chef's kiss*. The narrator was very pleasing to listen to, and did a great job distinguishing between the characters, which couldn't have been easy with 5 sisters.

Bring back previous narrators

Another great mystery from Cleo Coyle! And while the narrator was good, I didn't like the switch. After 6 books with the former narrators, it's hard to rally behind different voices. The change that irked me the most was Jack Sheppard's portrayal. I hope the previous narrators come back for book 8.

Story
Hollis Bisbee used to be a big-city crime reporter. Now, she’s a small-town journalist, and she’s bored. She and a young mom, talented baker Daisy Mueller, start the Knock ‘Em Dead podcast - ”Where murder and muffins meet!” It’s all fun, games, and baking tips until murder comes to Parkwood. After a brutal homecoming game loss, the coach of the rival football team is the victim of a hit-and-run in the high school parking lot. The entire town is on edge, and the star quarterback - who happens to be the police chief’s son - may just look the guiltiest of all.

I was really invested in this story. I felt like I was on the adventure of solving the murder with Hollis. I can't wait to hear the next mystery she and Daisy get wrapped up in. And I can't wait to hear about the relationship with Hollis and Brooks as it develops.

Story
What does “Give them Lala” mean? It means giving the truest, most honest version of yourself to the world. It means being authentic, bold, adventurous, and having an unapologetic approach to life. Hollywood is where Lauren Burningham, aspiring actress from Utah, fully embraced her alter-ego Lala Kent, entrepreneur, entertainer, and film and television star. Some say she’s rude; Lala says she claps back. Some say she’s too bold; Lala knows she’s reality TV gold. Truth is, without giving them Lala, Lauren could never have become the woman she is today.

Win for Lala
Reviewed: 05-17-21
This book was brutally honest. I choked up several times when Lala spoke about things she'd been through. In true Lala fashion, she kept it 100 throughout the book. She didn't shy away from her mistakes or try to justify. She owned them and said "hey, guess what...I'm human!" I've always respected Lala for being true to herself, and that is even more true now. This book felt like a chat with an old friend and I admire her so much for putting it all out there.

When Anna wakes up from a coma after a car crash, she discovers life has gone on without her. Her husband has been unfaithful - with her best friend - and she’s been long since replaced at work. While her old life is a distant memory, her new life feels like an empty shell. Then she meets the stranger who saved her life during the crash, and he changes everything. Leif Larsen - tattooist, joker, and player - has his own scars thanks to the crash that put Anna in a coma. Helping her move on from her failed marriage, and create a new life, sounds like a perfect distraction.

Hello, Leif...my new book boyfriend. This was a super swoon inducing book! I love the way the author made the injuries present but not the focus. And I love how they dealt with their various traumas together rather than hiding from them. The characters were flawed but mature which was so refreshing. This was the first book by Kylie Scott that I've ever read in any format and I can't wait to get through more of her work!! ❤️
