if I had realized they had changed narrators from the last book I would never have purchased this. This narrator is absolutely horrible.

Story
Five years ago, the US Space Force became a reality. And while those writing the checks took things very seriously, the other military branches did not. As a result, Space Force was populated by undesirables. My name is Captain Ethan Stone, a decorated member of SEAL Team Six turned Space Force "recruit". Flash forward five years and between tenses. President West is in office. Power has shifted. And Space Force is defunded. With just a handful of us still living on base, we find ourselves being evicted. But before all of us can leave, aliens invade.

cool premise...poor execution.

The constant internal dialogue of the characters became tiresome, as did the neverending pop culture references.

Story
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

As recently as 1990, it seemed plausible that the solar system was a unique phenomenon in our galaxy. Thanks to advances in technology and clever new uses of existing data, now we know that planetary systems and possibly even a new Earth can be found throughout galaxies near and far.

Story
In his 1998 book, The Threat, Jacobs uncovered disconcerting reports about aliens' plans for the future of Earth. He reported that a "change" is coming; a future when very human-like hybrids would intermingle with humans in everyday life. "Soon we will all be together," the aliens said. "Soon everyone will be happy and everyone will know his place."

Reviewed: 10-20-15
I normally like David Jacobs research and most certainly like his in person interviews, but I found this book to be repetitive, unimaginative, and quite jumbled. It pains me to say this, but I would not recommend it at all.

this is a fractured, nonsensical sampling of interview outtakes with no context or back story. I am uncertain why they would sell something like this... It is a sound bite reel. no useful information and presented in an awful manner. Waste of time and money.
