I love the whole Parasolverse, but I think this is my favorite. It was so good to learn more about Channing and why he was the way he was. The only thing was the parents deserved a little more karma.

This book was fun and still had some hidden wisdom but it lacked the fun of the “story within the story” of the first book. The premise of the romance novel within a romance novel and its narrator becoming an interactive character was so innovative and charming, I was hoping that would be in every book.

I was surprised at many of the bad reviews, as this book had come highly recommended to me. The narrator did some voices amazingly well and some that were just downright painful to listen to. She also pronounced many things in ways that surely sounded incorrect to me. That always pulls me out of the story unfortunately. As for the story, it was longer and more detail than it needed to be but I did love how all the pieces came together in the end.

She pronounces wolf like "woof"" for Pete's sake. The story was decent and I suspect it will get better in future books but I will be reading, not listening

This was delightful and barely touched on anything political. Yes the accents were over the top but that felt like part of the characters' personalities. It was laugh out loud funny. I can't wait for the next one.

Great cast, outstanding source material but it just didn't translate to this format. The sounds effects were mostly distracting and there was so much yelling and heavy breathing that it just became annoying half the time.

if you enjoy stories that have badass female leads, this would be a good choice for you. It has romance but not too much. It has action without too much violence. Good plot development. Can stand alone without the other books.

All three books in this trilogy have a charming heroine and a wonderful cast of characters. My only issue is the narrator. She has a lovely voice and does accents and voices really well but the overdramatization of almost everything she says when in the heroine's character is so bad that I have to turn the volume down because it grates on my nerves so badly. This is probably more the director's fault than hers but either way it's really hard to listen to. Everything else about it is great

I liked the story overall, some of the characters are fun but the narrator sounds like she's on the verge of hysteria at all times.

This book had more developed characters, more intrigue and felt much less like listening to a kid's book. Great last minute plot twist left me looking forward to the next book! The narrator has also gotten much better.
