Story
Galileo Galilei was the foremost scientist of his day. Though he never left Italy, his inventions and discoveries were heralded around the world. His telescopes allowed him to reveal the heavens and enforce the astounding argument that the earth moves around the sun. For this belief, he was brought before the Holy Office of the Inquisition, accused of heresy, and forced to spend his last years under house arrest.

All the info never taught in schools. Filled in the gaps beautifully. Very informative. Why do we have to put 15 words?

Story
From 1783, when German immigrant John Jacob Astor first arrived in the United States, until 2009, when Brooke Astor’s son, Anthony Marshall, was convicted of defrauding his elderly mother, the Astor name occupied a unique place in American society. The family fortune, first made by a beaver trapping business that grew into an empire, was then amplified by holdings in Manhattan real estate. Over the ensuing generations, Astors ruled Gilded Age New York society and inserted themselves into political and cultural life, but also suffered the most famous loss on the Titanic.

The first gilded age

As an ardent admirer of Anderson Cooper, I thoroughly enjoy perusing his written works. The latest piece surpassed my expectations with its intriguing exploration of a fortune amassed through the exploitation of indigenous people, shedding light on the karmic repercussions faced by those involved. Cooper adeptly presents perspectives from both sides of the issue, and I eagerly anticipate his forthcoming contributions.

Story
There is a voice of longing inside each woman. We strive so mightily to be good: good partners, daughters, mothers, employees, and friends. We hope all this striving will make us feel alive. Instead, it leaves us feeling weary, stuck, overwhelmed, and underwhelmed. We look at our lives and wonder: Wasn’t it all supposed to be more beautiful than this? We quickly silence that question, telling ourselves to be grateful, hiding our discontent—even from ourselves.

Prefer other methods

At the end of the day I prefer other methods of team identifiers. I felt results were in the correct ball park however I have colleagues who fit better into neighboring archetypes then the results showed. I almost like the original more.

The beauty of seeing edification in real time
Reviewed: 12-06-20
This book has been powerful. I’ve loved Chelsea since my teenage years. Then I started seeing her behavior as toxic and was losing interest. As a social worker I’ve read book after book on the human experience and seen it first hand in clients. Since Chelsea as been with me since adolescence she’s been a friend in my head. Her transformation, edification and insight into these last few years helped me realize she mirrors not only family members but myself. I needed to hear this from this medium and from her to make it personal. I understand my sibling so much now. I also understand myself so much more.
It’s also great to see how much someone can transform through accountability.
It frankly was therapeutic to read. Thank you.
