About this listen

Do you have an opportunity to use your strengths every day?

Chances are, you don't. All too often, our natural talents go untapped. From the cradle to the cubicle, we devote more time to fixing our shortcomings than to developing our strengths.

To help people uncover their talents, Gallup introduced the first version of its online assessment, StrengthsFinder, in the 2001 management book Now, Discover Your Strengths. The book spent more than five years on the bestseller lists and ignited a global conversation, while StrengthsFinder helped millions discover their top five talents.

In StrengthsFinder 2.0, Gallup unveils the new and improved version of its popular assessment, language of 34 themes, and much more. While you can listen to this book in one sitting, you'll use it as a reference for decades.

Loaded with hundreds of strategies for applying your strengths, this new book and accompanying website will change the way you look at yourself - and the world around you - forever.

The access code was emailed immediately, in an email titled: "Supporting Documents for StrengthsFinder 2.0" from Audible.

Completed this assessment and reading for a book club through my work. Would recommend to anyone looking to get an assessment of your strengths.

Great Assessment (Access Code DOES get emailed!)

I'm a great fan of StrengthsFinder, and was looking for a way to listen to the strengths while on the go. This was a great tool for that. However, I also was looking for the other parts of the book, the FAQ's and how to apply your strengths. What I listened to was just the summary of the 34 Strengths. I wish it had been explained that the other aspects of the book were not included.

Great for those who need to "hear" the lesson

This is a quick read with good descriptors. That said, you get the same descriptors from the site once you complete the online assessment. The difference is that the book adds examples which are not online.
The entire package is a tad too sales-driven in my opinion. Most of the books I read have an immediate/direct application/correlation to my role in leadership. This felt more like an affirmation of what I already knew about myself. It definitely added some pertinent information surrounding how I should work with like minds and which alternate personalities complement me the best. As such I feel I still got some level of value add from the book. However, I would say that you could opt to pay for the online assessment and get 90% of the book's content.
If you are new to emotional intelligence and that style of leadership, this is a good simply and direct way to get started.
Regards,
DG

The book was very simple, it did give a detailed description of each Clifton based strength. However, I expected it to get into the relationship between the strengths a bit more. maybe the problem was more with my expectations.

Mindful Self with Timothy McLean, LLC benefited greatly from this information! It was easy listening and comprehension.

Great book, recommend the print rather than audio book. Not a book that needs to be read linearly.

good book, get it in print
