I hate to say the movie was better…but the pacing of this book was irritating and I found myself really bored by the majority of it. As a fan of Crichton this one was a slog.

The Gul Man strikes again

There is nothing Gary Gulman can do that I wouldn’t support. His honesty and transparency about his depression is inspiring and encouraging to those of us who suffer with mental health issues. Not to mention that he’s one of my favorite stand up comedians out there.

This memoir is a great book, though sad at times because the hero doesn’t always get the girl or the fame or the glory…but he is real and true, and we root for him because that looks more like our experience, or just because we want him to succeed.

I’ve listened to dozens of audiobooks. This guy has a weird inflection on his words. It’s like he adds an uh after everything. Just listen to the sample and you’ll see. But after speeding it up, it’s not quite as bad.

The content of the book, however, is incredibly valuable content, enjoyable story, and helpful for business owners.

The book is great. The narrator is incredible.

The story is fast-paced, exciting, but with plenty of story elements to keep you engaged. After finishing a Brandon Sanderson kick, Brent weeks brings a refreshing change of pace.

I enjoyed this book very much. Neil Gaiman does a terrific job narrating and all the stories were new to me. This is a really fun listen, it's also extremely bite sized and can be consumed in short bursts with convenient stopping points.

I so enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and enlightening. The Heath brothers told stories that illustrated their points and left the reader with actionable steps. Read this book.
