Story
George Orwell's classic satire of the Russian Revolution is an intimate part of our contemporary culture, quoted so often that we tend to forget who wrote the original words! This must-read is also a must-listen!

The performances were wonderful. I had just watched the movie. I was able to rewatch it in my mind while listening to the book.

Story
Nationally acclaimed storyteller J.J. Reneaux grew up Cajun for true, surrounded by the stories, music, food, and culture of rural communities in southeastern Texas and southern Louisiana. A traditional storyteller who collects by word-of-mouth, Reneaux has developed her repertoire over years of collecting: on front porches, school playgrounds, and her beloved fishing trips, as well as at nursing homes, airports, and at neighborhood fais-dodos.

As a Cajun, I was very disappointed. Performance and recording was lacking. I haven't heard of some of the stories. I expected it to be more like a documentary with explanations. this is just a collection of stories.

my questions
Reviewed: 09-11-24
This book helped me understand and relate to this disorder. It also answered all the questions I had. I didn't realize my behaviors were due to bipolar. A light bulb went off. This book was the start of education myself on bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses. I feel I have control of my life again.
