I have struggled with anxiety for my entire adult life, and I happened upon this book by chance. I listened to it in its entirety, and I am convinced that it contains many helpful strategies that I fully intend on putting into practice in an effort to get a handle on my anxious thought processes. I think that personally some of the most useful strategies are the breathing techniques that can be utilized when one becomes anxious. Incidentally, I told my Licensed Professional Counselor that I had purchased the book and she said that she has a copy as well; she speaks highly of this book. It is a little “dry” in the beginning when it explains the anatomy and physiology of anxiety, and initially my thought was that the book was boring. However, I kept listening and when I got to the exercises and applications I was sold. My favorite chapter was the one about sleep and exercise. Highly recommend!
