Sadie’s sister, Leala Clare, is still haunted by the guilt she feels over the night her sister almost died. Magic

I really don’t know what to say. It would either be too much, thus ruining the story for a new reader, or too little, because what can I say? Just know that it is truly a beautiful story with a message of true love and “lake magic”.

Good material

What did you love best about The Secret?
The material itself was good and the musical background is nice.
Any additional comments?
The author's accent tends to be quite distracting, particularly when she talks about the "Lore" (law) of Attraction, and similar Aussie pronunciations. It's a shame, because it is a very worthwhile book.

Story
In Bones on Ice, forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan gets wrapped up in the ultimate cold case: a death on Mount Everest. It is called the “death zone”: the point on Everest, nearly five miles high, above which a climber cannot be rescued. More than 250 souls have lost their lives there. Most of the bodies remain, abandoned, frozen in place. When an earthquake leads to a miraculous recovery, Dr. Temperance Brennan is hired to identify the frozen mummified human corpse.

A worthwhile listen

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Typical Kathy Reichs page-turner of a story.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
The narrator's "voices" are inconsistent which makes it a bit hard to follow at times. Some male characters sound a bit too female and others sound a bit too dumb. Difficult to tell sometimes if it is narration or conversation.

Any additional comments?
I am not a reader of the romance genre, but I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The story in unusual, the performance was well done, and the humor is fun. You won't be disappointed.
