Story
When Clare Mackintosh lost her five-week-old son, she soon discovered there are no neat, labeled stages of grief like so many books insist. The shape of each loss is different; when a parent, relative, or friend passes, we grieve the person in all their beauty, their humanity, their imperfections. For Clare, there was no preparing for the anger and excruciating ache of knowing her child's life would remain unlived. This is the book she needed then.

This book was written for me!!

I lost my daughter 10 years ago to Leukemia and I recently lost my husband to sudden heart attack. I am grieving both for my daughter and my husband. Every chapter spoke to my heart. It was as if it was written for me.
This book was written with incredible honesty and insight about a very difficult subject such as the deep cutting grief of loosing a child. I cried with relief of how she truly understood and expressed my exact feelings. I cried for my daughter, my husband, my surviving son and for myself.
If you have lost someone very important to you, please read this book. It will be an incredible guide to your grief process.

Story
Agatha is pregnant and works part time stocking shelves at a grocery store in a ritzy London suburb, counting down the days until her baby is due. As the hours of her shifts creep by in increasing discomfort, the one thing she looks forward to at work is catching a glimpse of Meghan, the effortlessly chic customer whose elegant lifestyle dazzles her. Meghan has it all: two perfect children, a handsome husband, a happy marriage, and a stylish group of friends, and she writes perfectly droll confessional posts on her popular parenting blog.
