There is nothing like a talented human reading to me. Computer generated speech doesn't give emotion or change its voice depending who is speaking. I was often confused and had to rewind to follow the narrative and story line. While the stories are engaging and well written, the performance detracted from my enjoyment.

The Night Window and Jane Hawk series is one of the best Dean Koontz has written, and the narration is superb. The nanotechnology and science used as a foundation for the horrors the innocent face in this series of books is so close to where society of today is headed, that every moment of the narration felt real. This finale to the series is powerful and well executed. As a very recent widow, I actually found healing in the profound thoughts expressed by Jane Hawk when she spike of her husband, especially within the last sentences of the last chapter of The Night Window; words which I will always remember.
