This is the third book in the series. I loved the first two so much that it was hard to measure up. The characters are rich and I could relate to them. Overall quite an enjoyable read. And who doesn’t love Alex Wyndham’s narrations? He could read the dictionary and I’d listen all day.

These three novellas are centered around Christmas and are inspiring to listen to. There’s a Christian theme to each with a bit of scripture mixed in. Love and family are common to all the stories. The characters are well-developed. Sweet short stories to read around the holidays.
There are also some bonus materials including a few recipes.

Story
Sophie Appersett is quite willing to marry outside of her class to ensure the survival of her family. But the darkly handsome Mr. Edward Sharpe is no run-of-the-mill London merchant. He's grim and silent. A man of little emotion - or perhaps no emotion at all. After two months of courtship, she's ready to put an end to things. But severing ties with her taciturn suitor isn't as straightforward as Sophie envisioned.

Story
The Margrave of Thornbeck has to find a bride - fast. He invites 10 noble-born ladies who meet the king's approval to be his guests at Thornbeck Castle for two weeks - a time to test these ladies and reveal their true characters. Avelina has only two instructions: keep her true identity a secret and make sure the margrave doesn't select her as his bride. Since the latter seems unlikely, she concentrates on not getting caught. No one must know she is merely a maidservant sent by the Earl of Plimmwald to stand in for his daughter, Dorothea.

Another wonderful work by Ms. Dickerson. This is a new take on the tale of Robin Hood, with Robin Hood being portrayed as a woman. The woman hunts food at night to feed poor children. A handsome man has been charged with finding and stopping her.
Great story with beautiful narration.

A Wild Ride Through Time
Reviewed: 11-28-23
I’ve enjoyed all the books in this series and this is no exception. Who couldn’t love Tavis? There is a lot to keep up with plus new characters, who I never tire of meeting. I especially like the way KLL brings old characters into the story - it’s like old friends. The language is rough, but we are dealing with battle-hardened soldiers.
The book is explicitly adult, so be prepared.
