Story
Matt survived the Dungeon's founding, and managed to gather a small, but dedicated team to him, but when he finds his is not the only Dungeon in the area, he has a choice to make. Attempt friendly co-existence, but lose the element of surprise, or attack, and risk it all? Matt has learned the consequences of being too trusting when the world collapses around you, but is the path of grim dictator any better? Can he trust those around him? When those he left behind seem to be abusing his gift?

Two star story - very slow not overall picture
Reviewed: 03-12-25
This is second book. And the story is sooo slow.
I gave two star for story as premise of dungeon control and build is not overplayed everywhere.
Amd yet, second book and Mc did a camp of travel people and shopping mall. That is story for 1 week irl and I feel in book it was even shorter.
Whwn I saw series of several books I was looking forward to it, but stopped. Sorry, I need faster pacing or it feels as getting through slog even at double the speed

Story
Will stands on an asteroid that has now begun falling towards Earth, bearing a piece of a reality-tearing demon in the place of an eye. Down on the surface, otherworlders run amok, causing widespread damage across the globe. And to top it all off, even if the agitated demon has agreed to back off, its raw power was enough to drag a third planet into range of Earth. Will has two years to deal with the fires on his planet before another one hits it. It’s time the wider world realized who he is.

Author pisses me off
Reviewed: 12-22-24
I don't know what the author is thinking but this is not possible he normally writes whole page into a space when somebody starts talking and then the story continues and within that one or two seconds that would normally take place he is able to write a whole page or a page and half of some internal dialogue and internal dialogue not just for one person but multiple persons before the story starts moving again this is so irritating and so stupid that I'm stopping reading this book

Soooo many stats overview
Reviewed: 07-28-24
I am just at 20 chapter. But I swear that it starts to feel like author uses stat overview as word counter to hit minimum word count for a book or something. Having it even twice in 1 chapter is just overkill, and having one after each level up without much change is overkill too!!!

The mysterious disappearance of his brother five years prior has forced Jax into a holding pattern, with a job he tolerates, a girl he kinda, sorta loves . . . until he's kidnapped and given a stark choice by his asshat of a father: Go to the UnderVerse in reality, travel to the capitol of that ruined realm at the center of reality, and open a portal for the Noble Houses to return home . . .

Not that I do not understand narrator. But I as others tend to listen books ok faster speed. And this narrator is impossible to listen to for non native speakers. It feels like two words are one with his tone or sound or something....

Good story, bad/irritating writing.
Reviewed: 11-12-23
First review after close to 150 books on audible !!!
To me, the story seemed interesting.
But the author's way of writing is soooo irritating to me that I feel like he is doing it on purpose just to hit the 9 hour length and push book out.
Because the amount of repetition and the repetition on another words is staggering. I do not need to be reminded she refuses to be captured 100 hundred times via her inner mental dialog each time she sees someone following her!
And Perhaps if it was in one short sentence. But the author is exhausting the inner dialog each chance he has.
I have the author chance and I listened to all 3 books. He did not I improved. There is still to much inner dialog streaching for whole chapters even about main characters dilema IF IT IS OK TO LEAVE TO TRAIN TO ADJENT ROOM AND LEAVE HER SISTER OK ANOTHER ROOM. Like what the hell, 3/4 of chapter about this decision? To me this strikes me he is just about making the book hit 9 hours withing progressing the story much.

Story
After quitting her job as a therapist, Tess's life became pretty slow. A tad boring, even. It thus came as no small shock to her when she was chosen by a god. Suddenly thrust into a new world where magic, monsters, and character levels are par for the course, Tess will find that simply surviving can be a challenge. It doesn't help that dark forces are stirring, she's woefully underpowered, and spiders keep trying to claw her face off.

Reviewed: 08-20-23
I cannot stand Mc. She has no motivation at all, she left earth where she had no goal, purpose. Amd now is in world with again no goal or purpose. Yes she has quests, but it feels like she is forced to do them. She doesn't strive become powerful, learn magic from her own will. The whole book I kept thinking, what a waste of God blessing on this one.
