Story
From the Sunday Times top ten bestselling author of The Psychopath Test, a captivating and brilliant exploration of one of our world's most underappreciated forces: shame. 'It's about the terror, isn't it?' 'The terror of what?' I said. 'The terror of being found out.' For the past three years, Jon Ronson has travelled the world meeting recipients of high-profile public shamings. The shamed are people like us - people who, say, made a joke on social media that came out badly, or made a mistake at work.

I liked most of the examples, ideas and conclusions. Towards the end, it felt like it was getting off track, but it came back again and ended very well.

Amazing Ideas, described very simply. If anything, the book could have been slightly shorter because some things were repetitive. But overall, it's mind blowing!

Story
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Really likeable characters. Writing is humorous and emotional when it needs to be. Liked the first half more than the second half.
Didn't like the narrator that much. His voice went quite on certain notes if sentences, which was annoying. Specially when there is background noise from the environment I am in.
Overall would recommend.

Pretty Good Continuation of the story
Reviewed: 04-27-17
What does Ray Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Yes, The narrator is great. He adds some flair to the pronunciations that are enjoyable for this kind of not-so-serious book.
Any additional comments?
If you like the first book, you'll like this one, too.
Pros: all the good stuff from the first book. Personalities of different Bob's, exploration of new terrain, solving new problems etc
Cons: Way too many Bob's. Sometimes, I had to go back to figure out which Bob belonged where. And even though all Bobs' personalities are supposed to be different, overall they were not so different, which made it kinda boring. I wish the book was a tad bit longer and focused more on the main Bob's: Bob-1, Howard, Ryker, and Bill.
Looking forward to book 3!

Story
This near-future trilogy is the first chance for English-speaking listeners to experience this multiple-award-winning phenomenon from Cixin Liu, China's most beloved science fiction author. In The Dark Forest, Earth is reeling from the revelation of a coming alien invasion - in just four centuries' time. The aliens' human collaborators may have been defeated, but the presence of the sophons, the subatomic particles that allow Trisolaris instant access to all human information, means that Earth's defense plans are totally exposed to the enemy.

Great story. Not so great narration.

Narration wasn't as good as the first book. Shouldn't have changed.
The overall story had few gaps and loopholes here and there but overall it was very interesting. It is filled with fantastic concepts. Worth reading just for the thought provoking ideas.
Spoiler alert :
I wish less time had been spent on Luo Ji's romantic endeavors in the beginning. Also pace was sometimes very slow and story felt unorganized. Certain threads were left and never discussed again, like what happened to Hans's imprinted 50,000 soldiers. Should have been more consice.
Overall great followup to the Three Body problem.
