Who doesn't like slaying evil?
Reviewed: 09-08-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Raven's Peak to be better than the print version?
I have not read the printed version, but I always like the audio versions of books a little better.
What did you like best about this story?
I love stories about people who fight demons. The hate and depravity of such beings takes a lot of tenacity and grit.
Which scene was your favorite?
Ill try not to give anything away, but towards the end there is a scene that shows that physical weapons aren't the only things you can use to fight evil. That scene gave me goosebumps.
Who was the most memorable character of Raven's Peak and why?
Arthur, he had a mysterious past and unparalleled skill when it came to the destruction of demons. He also made the ultimate sacrafice for those he loved and now is in a mysterious hypo-hell that I'm looking forward to learning more about in later books.

Robot vs Alien slaughterfest
Reviewed: 07-25-17
What did you love best about Mech Corps?
I liked the way that the mechs were controlled. It's a mixture of machine and synthetic tissue that allows the pilots to use the mechs I n very versatile ways.
What other book might you compare Mech Corps to and why?
Probably the War Eternal series since they have similar mechs and the aliens in Mech Corps are like the un-evolved cousins of the ones in War Eternal.
What about Andrew B. Wehrlen’s performance did you like?
He really brought out the malcontent and ruffian side of the characters. The rebellious and rough attitude of the Mech Corps is the soul of the book and he really brought that to life.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The humans have in this book tend to take a pretty severe beating and are in a very scary situation so it makes you really feel a variety of emotions during their plight.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, many of my friends are into the Lovecraft universe and the author does a great job of mixing the mind bending horror with the action of an Armageddon.
What other book might you compare The Tower of Zhaal to and why?
I would have to say it would be a mix between "14" and any of the Dark Tower series.
Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?
I really like Cathy's spunky attitude and I think Jeffery does a great job at pulling it off.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The last half I could have, but the beginning had a bit of buildup that was a little harder for me.

Story
Most people have regrets. Ask them. They will tell you about the opportunities they missed, the dreams they left behind, and the memories of lost loves, locked away until their journeys end. We have no such luxuries, those of us entangled with the dead. It is our job as exorcists to guide them from this world, and finish their unfinished business, even if it means searching for 300 missing souls. This is a recollection of my first case, from a time when I thought nothing of the shadows beneath my feet.

This book surprised me because when I found it, it was tagged in the horror genre. This book is more of a fantasy to me as it was never very scary. It had funny moments and was well written, but I was just sort of disappointed because I was expecting something else.
The narrator did a good job, but her voice sounded so young that it wouldn't be out of place reading children's books.

Reviewed: 11-12-16
What did you love best about Noose Jumpers?
I really loved the idea behind their individual talents. The whole fact that belief enhances that talent is a really cool idea.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sandy, even though he has one of the deadliest talents in the book, he does not use it to kill, most of the time.
Which scene was your favorite?
When Sandy saves the Coyote's son, when you have that sort of aim, even hopelessness doesn't stand a chance.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Even the best outlaws had help.

Who was your favorite character and why?
Jessica, she was the only character that did not have a lick of supernatural help and she still proved herself just as courageous as any other character in the book.
What about Jeffrey Kafer’s performance did you like?
His voice range and distinction. From John to Jackie you could always tell who was talking even if you didn't have the "he/she said" phrase after their quote.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My reactions were diverse because it seems like there is so much hope, yet none at all that i didn't really know what to feel.

What did you like best about this story?

Which character – as performed by Jake Urry – was your favorite?

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Rampart Guards?
When Jason finally looked at things with an unbiased eye, as soon as that happens, things start to get done.
Which character – as performed by Brian Callanan – was your favorite?
Jason's Uncle. He had a very good voice for somebody who was very obsessed with their work, almost to the point of insanity.

I have a love/hate relationship with this book
Reviewed: 10-20-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Copper's Keeper to be better than the print version?
Yes, having all the different voices makes it much better then reading the print version. Horror is a genre in general that I prefer in audio.
Who was your favorite character and why?
It wasn't this way until the very end, but Alan most definitely. He makes a decision that shows a level of selflessness and courage that many others cannot match, and does it with very little thought.
What does Jake Urry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Jake Urry is by far one of the bests horror narrators I have come across. His voice beings a level of intensity and dread that really brings the creepiness of the book to life.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Sadness and respect. I know that these are just characters in a book, but when you get into books as much as I do the characters do take on a life of their own and I felt great respect and sadness at the end of this book.

What did you like best about this story?
I have always been interested in mythology, but this book made we want to maybe look into Nordic mythology a little more than I have in the past.
Which character – as performed by Jonathan Waters – was your favorite?
Yes, he takes the original story and adds his own little twist to them. The monsters in this book were original, but still very close to ones that were in Nordic mythology.
