didn't bother to try to finish it

Meh. Just... boring... Performance is fine. There are 2 storylines going on and I'm sure the characters will meet up eventually, but neither story is good enough to keep my attention.

Audible and a bunch of other sites recommended this as a "read next" for another sci-fi book I had finished. However, this is *nothing* like the other book I finished.
After listening to this book for 37 hours, I can safely say there were so many storylines, characters without much depth, and random descriptions, that I really just don't care what happens next.
And the narrator made it quite difficult - his volume range was so varied that I had to keep skip back, turn of the volume to catch the words at the end of the sentence, then quickly turn the volume back down so I could keep my eardrums.
On the other hand, I did finish the book.
But, I simply can't recommend it.

I struggle with any narrator who cannot pronounce words like "nuclear." the male narrator did this repeatedly.

Would you try another book from Evan Currie and/or Dina Pearlman?

possibly - the next one would by Evan Currie would need to be a better story or I probably would not consider any more.
Dina Pearlman was passable, so that wouldn't be a deterrent.

Would you recommend On Silver Wings to your friends? Why or why not?

probably not. the performance was just below average. Not bad by any stretch, but not what I've become accustomed to. The story was somewhat thin in spots with a lot of military process written in. I suppose for military fans, it's worth it, but for me it was just excess noise. The characters were also a bit thin. It seemed like there was a lot of potential for more character development, background, and story, but it was almost just glazed over.

What aspect of Dina Pearlman’s performance would you have changed?

The accents were pretty bad (especially the British). The Russian wasn't terrible, but they were almost distracting. Otherwise, not bad.

Was On Silver Wings worth the listening time?

barely. I have had books where I've asked myself if I even want to bother to finish it. I only asked myself that question once or twice near the beginning.
