Story
Hi! I’m Seth! I was asked to describe my audiobook, Yearbook for websites and shit like that, so...here it goes!!! Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.

honestly the first two thirds were stories of his childhood which weren't that interesting and not anything more extraordinary than my own tales of being high in middle school. His really interesting stories are of meeting celebrities and Hollywood film production and there's not nearly enough of that.

Story
In June 2009, Wendell Potter made national headlines with his scorching testimony before the Senate panel on health care reform. This former senior vice president of CIGNA explained how health insurers make promises they have no intention of keeping, how they flout regulations designed to protect consumers, and how they skew political debate with multibillion-dollar public relations campaigns designed to spread disinformation.

Though it's a little dated now, what's contained in this book is crucial for Americans understanding of how our health care system works (or rather, doesn't work). He also explains the PR industry and how it impacts our consumption of news. He gets a little bit in the weeds on the political and legislative battles over healthcare which went over my head. But otherwise super interesting, very illuminating. highly recommend.
